Yield: makes 400gms curry
Okra 250gmsOnion 1 med. size
Green chillies 2no's
Red chillies 2 no's
Zeera 1 tsp
Mustard seeds 1 tsp
Garlic 3 pods minced
Oil 2 tbsp.
Salt to taste
Cilantro 10 sprigs separate only leaves
Khari patta 1 sprig
Method of preparation:
- Wash the Okra throughly.
- Cut off the top and bottom part of the Okra.
- Cut the Okra into 1/2 inch pieces.
- Put oil in a pan,,put it on med,heat.
- Give a tempering of Zeera and Mustard seed.
- Let them spplutter a,then add red Chilles fry them a little .
- Then add Green Chillies and fry them.
- Add the Onions and saute them till they are transparant.
- Add the Okra pieces and saute them till they become dark green in colour.This process may take 5 min,
- Add the salt and minced garlic and cook for 5 more min, on med. heat.
- Swich off the stove when the Okra are all cooked and tender.
- Garnish with Cilantro and Khari patta
- Can be eaten with Rice and Sambar or with Rotis.
